Up at the top of the hill on Quarry Road where I grew up on a piece of the old family farm, this view across the somber winter corn fields always grabbed me. The church in the distance has a long history for my family. I was really happy to have this painting acquired by a cousin whose parents are buried in the graveyard along with my great grandparents, Eva and Howard Walters. A bit of their farm can be seen in Edge of Walters' Farm. This field is also shown in Frozen Fields.
